The Orangutan Obstacle
Preservation of a species and an ecosystem.

This is a brand new blog and will be dedicated to the ongoing dilemma facing the Orangutan's in the country of Sumatra. These creatures are being threatened greater every day, with Palm Oil productions and deforestation on protected lands being the main concerns. Protected lands which the Orangutan's inhabit, have little or no enforcement by local government, allowing Palm Oil companies, along with logging companies to wreck havoc on the already weakened rainforest where the Orangutan's live.

Through education, we can better understand the delicate creatures, and ecosystem that play a part in the global scheme of things. Classrooms, current event exhibits and all capacities of learning forums will be welcomed and needed to promote this cause in the manner it requires.

There are already efforts of this kind in full force, this page will look to strengthen this movement as a whole, but will offer a unique and in-depth perspective. There will be up-to-date news and information on demonstrations. I look forward to your support and aid.
